Lovren received treatment for several minutes following a clash of heads with Fonte.
Chelsea on top early on, with Torres's shot deflected behind by Fonte, Schurrlke has also fired wide, while Torres's cross flashed across goal.
Chelsea have made six changes today with Cole, Ramires, Torres, Mata, Schurrle and Obi Mikel all in the starting line-up.
Oscar, Willian and Samuel Eto'o drop to the bench, while Luiz is suspended and Lampard and Ivanovic are both injured.

Kelvin Davis on Saints' recent 3-1 defeat at Chelsea, in today's match programme:
"Our clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last month confirmed that Jose Mourinho and his players are respectful of this Southampton team.
"They raised their game against us and we expect a similar kind of display from them today."
Chelsea will be making changes to the team that beat Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Brazilian Luiz is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season and fellow midfielder Frank Lampard is injured.
Branislav Ivanovic and Samuel Eto'o also had to go off injured against Liverpool.
Fernando Torres and Ashley Cole are in contention for a recall along with midfielders Ramires and John Obi Mikel.
