TADLEY Calleva left it late, but thanks to Brett Denham’s brace they won at Ringwood 2-0 in the Wessex League Division One, last Saturday.
On a pitch which was cut up down the middle, the home side’s route one football gave them an advantage.
The visitors struck to the task and Denham and Jason Graham had first-half chances.
With fog descending on the ground with 10 minutes to go the assistant referee asked for the game to be abandoned.
The referee decided to carry on and Denham opened the scoring beating the goalkeeper one-on-one after being put clear by Mario Nurse on 85 minutes.
Andrew Charsley then produced a great block to deny Liss and Denham made the game safe with his second goal a minute from time.
Tadley boss Danny Dolan said: “We seemed to have turned a corner now and still think a top six finish is possible.”
Tadley will be looking to continue their winning run when they travel to US Portsmouth this Saturday.
