BASINGSTOKE Motor Club rally driver Jeff Brown and his Vauxhall Chevette have a busy few weeks coming up.

He will be in action this Sunday at the Longmoor Loco Rally.

The event takes place on the twisty roads of Longmoor army camp near Bordon and Brown will have his wife Kirstie
making a return to the left-hand seat.

The following weekend, his regular co-driver Chris Pratt will be back, with the crew taking part in a new rally in Weston-super-
Mare.

Cars will tackle a series of short stages around the town, including the notorious Kewstoke Toll Road.

Later in January, the Brean Stages Rally provides over 50 miles of competition on the roads of Brean Leisure Park in
Somerset.

This is the usual season opener and will attract 85 cars, so competition will be fierce.

Brown’s Vauxhall Chevette, which is nicknamed Greebo, is sponsored by local firms Pyrotastic Fireworks and Alpha
Signs, who are responsible for the eye-catching colour scheme.

The car has undergone further development since a fresh engine was built in the summer.

Brown hopes the changes will provide more improvements while keeping the reliability the car is known for.

Basingstoke Motor Club members are gearing up for the coming season and plans for club events will be announced early next year.
