James Vince has been included in a 15-man England Lions squad to face Sri Lanka A in February and March 2014.

Chris Woakes will captain a side that includes fellow players with Test experience in Jonny Bairstow, Simon Kerrigan and James Taylor.

Middlesex batsman Sam Robson receives his first England Lions cap, whilst all other members of the squad have previously been capped for England Lions.

England selector James Whitaker said: "We believe that this Lions squad contains an excellent mix of players that have had International exposure, combined with emerging young talent that we hope can flourish on this tour to Sri Lanka. All our Lions tours and England Performance Programmes play a vital role in the development of future England players."

"The opportunity to train and play in the sub-continent will be an invaluable experience and under the guidance of coach Mark Robinson we are convinced all the players will learn a great deal."

England Lions will play five matches in Sri Lanka. After departing from the UK on January 27, the Lions will play two three-day matches against a Sri Lanka A Team Emerging Players XI in Colombo. The squad will then travel to Kandy for the first of three four-day matches against the Sri Lanka A team.

A second match will follow in Dambulla before the squad return to Colombo for the final game of the tour.
