ODIHAM and Greywell CC will celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2014.

The north Hampshire club will be holding a festival week starting on Sunday August 3 with their annual fixture against Sir Tim Rice’s Heartaches team.

On the Thursday, August 7, an MCC XI will visit the ground at King Street, which had a brand new pavilion opened this year, after the previous one was destroyed by fire in 2012.

A further highlight for the year will be the visit of a touring South African side to play games against Odiham’s under-15 and under-18 sides on Sunday July 6.

This was all announced at the club’s annual AGM, where the following appointments were made: Liam Schooling (club chairman), Paul Voisey (Saturday first team captain), Ian McGaughrin (Saturday second team captain), Jo Greenfield (Saturday third team captain), Russell Henley (Sunday first team captain), Liam Schooling (Sunday second team captain), Becky Hartnett (Women’s first team captain), Mark Passmore (head of youth) and Betty Read (welfare officer).
