HAMPSHIRE Irons are three points clear at the top of Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division Two following a 4-1 win over Bounty United.

Kieran Dent and James Arnold had Irons two up inside 10 minutes but Jordan Willis pulled one back for Bounty with 15 minutes to go. They looked for an equaliser but Irons hit them on the break to wrap up victory with further goals from Dent and Stephen Bown.

Twenty Ten recovered from 2-1 down to beat Basingstoke Athletic 3-2. Sam Coombs had Twenty Ten in front but goals from Marlon Thomas and Nathan Read had Athletic ahead.

Ryan Lupton levelled the game with 20 minutes left and Joe Hill completed the comeback to earn his side three points.

AFC Berg made short work of bottom side Sherborne Reserves, beating their visitors 5-0. Spencer Charlton, Chris Hems and Joe Mart had them 3-0 up at half-time, while Hems' second and James Cannings completed the rout in the second half.

AFC Aldermaston A scored seven goals in the second half to beat Labour Club 8-0. Tony Johnson got the only goal of the opening 45 minutes before going on to complete a hat-trick, while Kevin Flain scored four and Andy Barfoot was also on target.

Sherborne St John beat a 10-man Popley side 5-1 in the only game in the Premier Division.

Popley started the game a man light due to injuries and suspensions and Sherborne took the lead through Tom Hartley in the first minute.

Hayden Chalker levelled but Alex Izzo and Matt Livingstone had Sherborne 3-1 up at half-time, while further goals from Tom Brickley and a Livingstone penalty completed the scoring in the second period.

Pure Spartan and Skewers remain the teams to catch in Division One, with both winning last weekend.

Bottom side Herriard Sports put up a brave fight against Pure. It took the high-flyers an hour to break the deadlock through Dave Ratcliff and while Chris Dobbie doubled the lead, Sam Weaver's goal made for an interesting last 10 minutes.

Skewers were being held 4-4 by Chineham Albion at one point, but their class shone through in the end and they won 7-4.

Jamie Perryman hit a hat-trick for Skewers, with Aaron Burt, Ashley Perryman Simon Jane and Luke Manton the other scorers. Mark Frost, Nick Carter and Dan Izzo were on target for Chineham, with an own-goal completing the scoring.

Welly Old Boys won 1-0 away at Hook Reserves, Mike Morey getting the only goal of the game.
