WHITCHURCH United extended their unbeaten run to 12 games with a 1-0 victory away at Verwood in the Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday.
Nic Turpin scored the only goal of the game on 16 minutes. Shane Lock’s cross found Curtis Angell and his shot rebounded off the home goalkeeper, the ball falling kindly for Nic Turpin to fire home.
Whitchurch were not at their best throughout but they improved in the second half. There were no further goals but the Jam Boys held on to win the game.
Next up for Jim Macey’s high-flying team is a trip to Lymington tomorrow night.
