SAINTS have been drawn at home to Championship leaders Burnley in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Clarets are one of the surprise sides in the second tier this season, helped by the goals of Hampshire-born pair Sam Vokes and Danny Ings.

The highlight of the draw, which will be played on January 4/5, sees Arsenal take on north London rivals Tottenham.

Quite disappointed to hear Saints using the same song for Osvaldo which is used for Ramirez, I all feel that the songs in general have been below par. I have spent many years in the Archers before the Northam.I have therefore suggested some below,

Wanyama
He comes from KEN Y A,
He'll F...ing murder ya,
Wanyama, woooo, Wanyama

Osvaldo

Clyne

I will also post on other Saints websites, look forward to hearing these when we smash Spurs to pieces

I'm not so sure. This is the last crack at silverware which is a back up to european qualification. A couple of the youngsres in, yes, but not wholesale changes.

You won't find them as they were very unfortunate because they drew a much bigger team than themselves in the first round. It was Stevenage.

Of course we want a cup run, we have more chance of winning that than the league, at least for this year. But what the last couple of weeks has taught us is that the squad players and youth have to have a run out or they are rusty when they have to be draft into the Prem team due to injuries and suspensions. Poch will undoubtedly use this game to run out those players, and rightly so.

And I also hope he understands the league is more important. Third round never clashes with the league so I'm sure it will be a strong team.

The difficulty we have here is that we normally put out our reserves. Now this weekend has shown us that we don't have reserves, but we have a squad of players who are very capable of playing Prem League , I'm left wondering who our reserves actually are.

What's the problem with playing a full-strength team? Should we be unlucky enough to pick up a couple of injuries we have just shown that we now have enough strength in our squad to cope. It's 11 years since Cardiff and another cup run is long overdue.

Given that Arsenal are probably too far in front to catch we can now concentrate just on Champions League, oh yes
!! ... and winning the FA Cup. BOTH ARE REALISTIC !!

Cup matches generally seem to mean second string 11s these days but the fans deserve some silverware to cheer for.

I know MP has to stretch the legs of the whole squad now and then and he has a bigger pictire to keep an eye on but I think everyone wants to see us get some tangible success THIS SEASON... and for that reason we should be looking at the FA cup as a key part of the season and give it all we have got.

Success is not just finishing in the top half any more, this squad is just too good to settle for that ... we need a big reward !! A cup, a Champions League place ..

.. or maybe I'm being pessimistic ? Maybe we can catch Arsenal?

Hope MP puts out our strongest team and that we go all the way in FA Cup...
It would be great for us all to get some silverware this season and it'd wipe the smugness of the Blue few and their Fu-CUP* win ...
oh and maybe I should mention I have 25/1 on Saints to win!!!
