BASINGSTOKE RFC girls under-18s had a superb 34-29 win away against Oxford Baa Baas.

It was a hardfought game right up to the final whistle, with the winning score coming with the last play of the game.

Hannah West, with four tries, led the way and there were single scores for Alex Clay and Sophie Tandy, while Beth Robertson kicked over two conversions.

The Basingstoke under-15s played for Oxford Baa Baas in their 27-12 victory over Pulborough and helped them to their first win of the season.

Three of the five tries for the ‘OxStoke’ team were scored by Basingstoke girls Florence Heap, Hannah Birch and Caitlin Mort.

Basingstoke under-13s played their first-ever game and played with great confidence and resilience.

The final score from the four quarters played was 45-30 to Grove RFC.

Basingstoke scored six tries in total through Jaime Taylor, Charlotte Webb and Chelsea Williams.
