BASINGSTOKE RFC will be looking to continue their winning run in National League Three London when they travel to bottom side Barking.

Both teams crash back into action after a week’s break and ’Stoke will be looking to build on their success last time out against Hertford.

On the same afternoon, their Essex rivals lost their basement battle with Thurrock, leaving them as the only side in the division without a win.

The week off for ‘Stoke gave many of their players the chance to recover after the brutal battle against Hertford.

However, Steve Hicks will miss the trip with an eye injury, while it is hoped Andy Barnes has recovered from the rib injury that forced him out of the Hertford game.

On the plus side, back in the squad are second rows Jake Henderson, pictured right, and Cama Karisi, while fly-half Adam Davies, who was unavailable last time out, also returns.

‘Stoke coach Will Coker said: “We have three games coming up against teams in the bottom half of the table and we want to win them all.

“We want to get as many points as we can as we have a tough Christmas coming up.

“We know nothing about Barking, but cannot afford to be complacent. The league has now split into three. We are in the middle pack and want to end up as the best of the rest.”
