That's all for today folks. Join me again next Saturday to see if Town can end their poor run by beating Hayes and Yeading United at the Camrose.
Basingstoke Town manager Jason Bristow:
"I am devestated that we have been knocked out of the FA Cup in our first game. It's something that we as a team, club and town want to progress in and today was not acceptable.
"We just did not look like we had enough in us. Our quality on the ball was poor and we were second best.
"We had two really good training sessions this week and to put in a performance like that is not acceptable.
"We conceded three more poor goals. It was the problem last year and we thought we had stopped it but we should have done better for all three."
Basingstoke Town 1 Weston-super-Mare 3
So Town's FA Cup dream is over at the end of their first match in this season's competition - and they cannot really have any complaints.
Weston were the better side today, while the home side's poor run of results continues.
Reaction to follow shortly.
SUBSTITUTION - Weston-super-Mare - Jake Harris on for Jordan Walker (87 min).
Adam Green stings the palms of Weston 'keeper Luke Purnell from distance and while the rebound falls to Matt Partridge, his touch lets him down.
Neil Barrett stays down following a heavy challenge but is back on his feet and seems to be okay now.
Basingstoke Town 1 Weston-super-Mare 3 - Ben Kirk (77 min)
They do make the game safe from the resulting corner though.
Working the kick short, they make space for a shot. Louis Wells does well to save but the rebound is nodded in from close range by BEN KIRK.
Kane Ingram almost makes the game safe, forcing a fine save out of Louis Wells from the edge of the area.
Neil Barrett puts Manny Williams through down the right channel but Weston goalkeeper Luke Purnell is off his line quickly to block the striker's effort.
Matt Partridge - Basingstoke Town
Partridge loses the ball on the right and brings down his man. A silly booking.
SUBSTITUTION - Weston-super-Mare - Tristran Plummer on for Chaz Hemmings (71 min).
DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION - Basingstoke Town - Manny Williams and Andrew Jenkinson on for Robbie Matthews and Wes Daly (69 min).
Naby Diallo - Weston-super-Mare
Diallo catches Adam Green late and is rightly booked.
Town force a couple of corners but nothing comes of them.
Chances at either end there.
First Matt Partridge does well down the Town left and while his ball in is dropped by the Weston 'keeper, Town cannot take advantage.
Weston's Chaz Hemmings then works space for a shot, but it's straight at Louis Wells.
Kezie Ibe meets Robbie Rice's cross but can only head straight at Luke Purnell in the Weston goal.
Basingstoke Town 1 Weston-super-Mare 2 - Chaz Hemmings (47 min)
Matt Partridge pulls CHAZ HEMMINGS back 25 yards out and the striker gets up to take the free-kick himself. He goes for power and his strike takes a nick off the wall on its way through, giving Louis Wells little chance of saving.
Weston get the second period under way.
Basingstoke Town 1 Weston-super-Mare 1
Honours even at the end of a decent first half, which is probably just about fair.
Robbie Matthews knock-on almost leads to another chance as Kezie Ibe looks to nip in. Goalkeeper Luke Purnell is far from convincing but the visitors smuggle the ball away.
Town go close at the other end. Matt Partridge's effort seemed to be going over but Luke Purnell makes sure, though the ball almost loops into the net, requiring a goal-line clearance from Martin Slocombe.
Weston force a corner, Brett Trowbridge meets it at the near post and Robbie Rice makes an important block.
Three in total. Neil Barrett is booked for a pull a Weston player as the visitors looked to break. A melee insued, resulting in further yellow cards for for Weston players Jamie Laird and Ben Kirk.
Almost a chance for Weston as Jay Gasson misjudges a ball in. He's caught underneath the ball but Naby Diallo fails to make contact at the far post.
More of the same as Town let the visitors have the ball in their own half. They force a mistake, Naby Diallo gifting Robbie Matthews the ball, but the big striker fails to make the most of the opportunity.
Weston are seeing a lot of the ball at the moment. Town are content to let them pass it about at the back but are stopping them come forward. However, they cannot keep the ball themselves.
It's a good game. Both teams are looking to play and it's got a really high tempo about it.
Basingstoke Town 1 Weston-super-Mare 1 - Matt Partridge (20 min)
That's the perfect riposte. A corner from the right is headed back across goal by Jay Gasson and MATT PARTRIDGE cannot miss from two yards.
Basingstoke Town 0 Weston-super-Mare 1 - Naby Diallo (18 min)
The Town defence did not cover themselves in glory there. They allow a Weston player to get in down the left, Louis Wells fails to hold the low cross, Jay Gasson fails to clear and NABY DIALLO nips in to smash the loose ball into the net.
A bit of pressure from Weston, which ends with Brett Trowbridge curling a shot wide.
A couple of chances for the hosts, who have been the better side so far.
Robbie Matthews smashes in a free-kick that Weston goalkeeper Luke Purnell fails to hold but Kezie Ibe is unable to get a foot to the rebound.
Then David Ray puts in a deep cross. Purnell comes to claim but misses and Matthews heads into the side netting.
Basingstoke Town: Wells, Rice, Green, Barrett, Gasson, Ray, Daly, Partridge, Matthews, Ibe, McAuley. Subs: Smart, Adams, Williams, Jenkinson, McDonnell, Johnson-Schuster, Mylen.
Weston-super-Mare: Purnell, Walker, Slocombe, Kington, Knowles, J Laird, Kirk, Trowbridge, Hemmings, Ingram, Diallo. Subs: C Laird, Plummer, Grubb, McLaggon, Monks, Harris, Ash.
More good play from the home team. Reading loanee Matt Partridge wins the ball and makes a strong run into the area before squaring for Kezie Ibe. His effort at the near post seems to be saved but the referee awards only a goal-kick.
Manny Williams is only on the bench after missing the trip to Bromley through illness. Shaun McAuley retains his place, while Louis Wells is back between the sticks.
Apologies for the late start, my computer doesn't seem to like it at the Camrose at the moment. Same problem I had at the last match.
Anyway, Town have made a bright start, going close from two early corners. The first saw the ball hit a Weston defender on the back before being hacked away, the second flew across the face of goal.
Basingstoke get the game under way. They are shooting towards the Town End in the first half.
