AFC Hook pick up second point of season in Basingstoke and District Sunday League Division Two
AFC Hook picked up their second point of the season in a tight 1-1 draw with visitors Hampshire Irons in Division Two.
An excellent pass from Tom Chant set up Daniel Kilmartin to edge the Irons ahead.
In the second-half Hook hit the post and crossbar, before Wayne Poole's volley earned them a point.
Lamb Inn won an entertaining game with Legend Alliance 5-2. Peter Lomax opened Lamb's account, followed by Ashley Elwood, Ross Cook and Carlos Gonzales before Elwood completed a brace.
Skewers entertained high-fliers RAF Odiham Blades led at Skewers 2-1 at half-time thanks to goals from Andrew Purdie and Alex Lemarquand.
Early in the second-half the visitors turned on the screw and went a further goal ahead through Andy Kirby, before the Skewers pulled one back.
Ryan Woods made it 4-2 to Blades and then the visitors should have killed the game, but missed a sitter.
Skewers took advantage and scored two late goals as the game ended 4-4.
The home side’s goals were scored by Steve Bean (2), Matt Osborne and Alex Denham.
South View took a 10th minute lead over visitors Chineham on their way to a 6-2 victory.
Chineham levelled the score, but South View took the lead before the break and then scored four times in the first 20 minutes of the second-half.
Matt Morris scored a hat-trick for South View, John-Paul Norman grabbed a pair and Harry Rudge got the other, while Richard Pilbeam was outstanding in defence. Shane West and Keiron Alleyene netted for Chineham. Lamb Inn beat Legend Alliance 5-2.
