Odiham and Greywell youngsters close in on treble
ODIHAM and Greywell under-11s remain on course to complete a brilliant treble this season after they clinched the North Hampshire under-11 league title.
The youngsters posted an impressive unbeaten record of 13 wins from 14 games, with one being abandoned.
Jontie Sebborn, captain of the under-11 team, broke the league batting and wicket keeping records, scoring 261 runs and taking 18 stumpings – many of which came off the bowling of Odiham’s leg spinners Reece Lane and Billy Pocock.
Lane finished equal top bowler in the league with 21 wickets, while Pocock was third with 18.
Odiham face Yateley, the only side who stand between them and a trophy treble, in the North East Hants 15/15 Cup final at May’s Bounty on Sunday, September 8.
