Triple friendly win for Loddon Vale

THERE were three friendly matches last weekend at Loddon Vale, starting with a 127-89 victory over the Dolphin club from Poole last Saturday.

The winning rinks were skipped by Tina Rogers (31-9), Ray Harris (27-15), Steve Shaw (21-16) and Robin Voller (20-14). The two losing rinks were Don Lee (15-14) and Steve Sallows (20-14).

The following day Loddon beat Tongham, principally an outdoor club, 135-92.

This time the winning rinks were Fred Goddard (28-8), Alan Smith (30-16), Frank Fuller (31-12) and Steve Foyle (25-19). Losing rinks were Sallows (20-18) and Ray Harris (17-13).

On Monday the club hosted a match against a very strong Hertfordshire Ladies touring side, which they won by 22 shots.

Winning Loddon rinks were Alan Tait (26-18), Sheila Girle (18-14) and Don Lee (20-17), while John Hilton drew 16-16. Losing rinks were Peter Grant (29-17), Ian Laming (23-20), Sallows (35-14) and Harris (23-22).
