Basingstoke Bison suffer against Milton Keynes Lightning

THE Basingstoke Bison suffered a 3-2 home defeat against the Milton Keynes Lightning on Saturday night.

The major talking point of the first period was dismissal of former Bison player Chris Wiggins after he crashed Zach Sullivan head first into the boards.

The second session saw the Herd twice take the lead through Doug Sheppard and Greg Chambers, while Nicky Chinn and Connor Goode supplied the equalisers.

The home side then had Joe Greener thrown out of the game for high sticks, but it remained 2-2 at the second buzzer.

MK's man-of-the-match Janne Jokila grabbed the winner at 48:06 and despite pulling their goalie in the final the Bison were unable to level the score.
