Censo upset the odds to reach cup semi-final

FC CENSO progressed to the semi-finals of the North Hants Intermediate Cup after beating higher grade opposition Alresford Town Reserves 3-1.

It was a fairly even first-half, but Censo led at the break after Richard Kalwarczyk put Luke Richardson through for the opener.

Alresford drew level a minute after the interval but Richardson regained the lead for his side with a lob in the 57th minute and the game was sewn up when Kalwarczyk struck a fine 25 yard shot that was much too good for the home ’keeper.

Tron progressed in the Basingstoke A Cup, while Pure Spartan reached the final of the Basingstoke B Cup. Chineham Albion, Sherborne St John and North Warnborough all progressed in the Peter Raynbird Cup.
