A much-needed win for the Bison, who showed great heart to come back from 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2 down. Let's hope it hasn't taken too much out of them ahead of tomorrow's trip to Manchester.

The Bison's Joe Miller and Slough's Darius Pliskauskas both had shots saved late on and we're going to penalties.
The powerplay is over and the Bison survived. 2:11 of overtime remains.
Stevie Lyle saves from first Mindy Kieras, then Darius Pliskauskas and Slava Koulikov.
Another chance for Slough in front of the net - but the goal comes off it's moorings. 47 seconds of the powerplay left.
The Bison have too many men on the ice and lose a man for two minutes. That should spell trouble and they call a timeout.
Carl Graham has the first shot of overtime, forcing a save out of Gregg Rockman.

Entering the final minute and a good move down the Slough left leads to Stevie Lyle saving well from Frantisek Bakrlik.
Stevie Lyle makes a couple of saves to deny Ciaran Long.
Greg Chambers sets up Joe Rand - but Gregg Rockman makes the save.
The Herd are on the front foot now and looking to get the win.

This game has exploded and the Bison are level. There's a scramble in front of the net and the puck comes out to GREG CHAMBERS in almost exactly the same position he was in a couple of minutes ago. The result is the same as well and we're all square.

With Frantisek Bakrlik in the sin-bin for slashing, the Bison make it a one-goal game again, GREG CHAMBERS firing home from a central position.

An immediate response, FRANTISEK BAKRLIK skating down the right and firing an excellent shot into the top corner beyond Stevie Lyle.

Shorthanded goal for the Bison, JOE RAND robbing a Slough man on the Bison blue line and skating up the ice before showing good skill to beat Gregg Rockman.
Greg Owen goes in for hooking.
PENALTY SHOT SAVED
Ciaran Long steals the puck and is through, with his trickery forcing Stevie Lyle into a trip to concede a penalty shot.
The Slough man attempts to take the puck close in, but Lyle follows him and makes the save.
The powerplay ends with a shot for Greg Chambers but again the Jets survive.
PENALTY SHOT TO SLOUGH
The third period is under way. The Bison begin it on the powerplay, Matt Towalski in the box for another 1:44.

A better period for the hosts but they remain two goals down. Slough are just more clinical.
Unfortunately, the Bison were unable to make the most of that. Craig Rand went close, as did Joe Greener right at the end, but no goals.
The Bison survive that powerplay, Stevie Lyle making one good save - and now they have one of thier own, Frantisek Bakrlik going in for interfearance.
Jaroslav Cesky goes in for two minutes on an interfearance call.

I'm not sure they're back in it but at least the home fans have something to cheer as the Bison score on the powerplay.
Greg Chambers feeds GREG OWEN on the left and he has time to make ground before firing into the top corner.
Frantisek Bakrlik takes a two minute rest for slashing at 34:31.
The Bison had a great chance shorthanded just before the goal, Doug Sheppard running through but failing to beat Gregg Rockman.

29 minutes on the clock and the Jets take advantage of their powerplay, Gomeniuk's shot taking a wicked deflection off a Bison player to give Stevie Lyle no chance.
Carl Graham is in the sin-bin. Two minutes for slashing.
The Bison force a scramble but the net is off its moorings. Better though.
The Bison's Joe Greener steals the puck and breaks but can only shoot wide.
The Bison survive the powerplay. Stevie Lyle made one save to deny James Hutchinson, while there was a nervous moment when the puck was loose in the goal crease.
Jaroslav Cesky goes to the sin-bin for a two minute boarding penalty just 30 seconds into the period.
The second period is under way. The Bison need an early goal to get back into this.

Not a great first period, with surprisingly little action until late on, when Slough took control.
It doesn't look good for the hosts.

Oh dear. Now the shortbenched Bison face a massive task.
The puck flies across the face of goal and with Stevie Lyle wrong-footed, MINDY KIERAS finds the net against his old team. Assists for Slava Koulikov and Ciaran Long.
GOAL - Basingstoke Bison 0 Slough Jets 1 - James Hutchinson (16:37)
The Jets make the extra man count, a period of pressure ending with JAMES HUTCHINSON firing home from Pavel Gomeniuk's assist.
Greg Owen is sent to the sin-bin and the Bison will be a man light for two minutes.
A Bison player shoots from just inside the blue line and it smashes Aaron Connolly in the 'upper leg'. That's going to chafe. He's straight off to the changing room, possibly to check everything's still intact.
Bison netminder Stevie Lyle is in action, denying Darius Plisauskas.
They weren't able to make that powerplay count though. Gregg Rockman made a couple of saves but it remains 0-0.
That's the first penalty of the match halfway through the first period. Craig Rand did well to rob a Slough man on the blue line and Mindy Kieras goes to the sin-bin for slashing at him.
Zach Sullivan's shot from the blue line forces Slough netminder Gregg Rockman into a save.
The Bison's injury crisis means that Greg Chambers is having to play as a defenceman.
That's a good chance for Slough's Daniel Davies. Stevie Lyle makes a save and the rebound drops for Davies, but Lyle makes another save to deny him.
It's been a quiet opening four minutes, with few chances for either side.
Slough have the opening shot, Mindy Kieras smashing a shot into the plexiglass behind Stevie Lyle's goal.
The puck drops for the first time and we're under way. The Bison really could do with a win tonight.
