AFTER a good result and performance on Saturday came another frustrating one on Tuesday.

At Bromley, we attacked well, defended very well and got the result we deserved. Some of the attacking play was the best I have seen from us this season, but if we were going to be critical it would be that we should have scored more goals.

We did have a big blow in losing Ross Adams to injury midway through the first-half. It’s an injury that we are still waiting to see the full extent of because of the amount of the swelling to the ankle, but we hope it is not too bad and wish Ross a speedy recovery.

On Tuesday, we went to Hayes and in the first-half we should have scored a few goals. In the second-half, we went a goal down but equalised not too long after with a fine goal from Delano Sam-Yorke.

That really should have given us the impetus to push on but instead we sat too deep and invited pressure onto us. Our clearances were not good enough and we were to slow to shut down the second ball, which eventually resulted in a winner for Hayes in the last minute.

We host Dorchester this Saturday. Having only played them last week we know how tough this fixture will be, especially as they come off the back of two very impressive victories and will be looking to push on to challenge the play-off places. We will need to be at our best to get anything from the game.

This week we welcomed David Ray back to the club. David has been training with us for a few weeks after a lengthy injury lay-off. He has been looking good in training and will be a valuable asset to us between now and the end of the season.

Regards,

Jason
