Winklebury’s young snooker star Mickey Joyce was beat by eventual winner Conor Flanagan in the quarter-fianls of the fifth leg of the Cuestars South of England Under-21 Bronze Tour.
The nine-year-old qualified for the last eight after finishing second in the round robin part of the compettiton.
He then gave away six years to his Wiltshire opponent in a one frame shoot-out, which he lost.
The sixth of the eight legs of the competition takes place at the South West Snooker Academy, Gloucester, on Sunday March 3.
