Collard junior signs new karting deal

HOOK kart driver Ricky Collard’s forthcoming season has been given a real boost with the news that he will race for the Racing Steps Foundation-backed Zip Young Guns kart racing team once again.

The 16-year-old, son of British Touring Car star Rob, returns for a second year with the team and will race at Super One KF2 in Britain.

In addition, he will race for the RSF Zip Young Guns team in the WSK Euro Series, the South Garda Winter Cup and the CIK-FIA European and World Championships.

He is one of five drivers on the team and one of only two to return for a second season.

The Racing Steps Foundation is a private, not-for-profit fund that provides and finances competition and performance development programmes for an elite group of young British kart and single-seater racing drivers and motorcycle racers.
