Sheffield Steeldogs bite the Basingstoke Bison

THE BASINGSTOKE Bison suffered another dent to their title hopes on the road as the Sheffield Steeldogs completed a hat-trick of wins over the Herd with a 5-4 success.
Having allowed the home side to take a 2-0 lead at the first break thanks to goals from Kubomir Korhon and Edgars Bebris.
The Bison hit back to leave the scores level at 4-4 after two periods as man-of-the-match Doug Sheppard, Joe Miller, Joe Rand and Nicky Watt all scored to counter markers from Korhon and Lloyd Gibson.
It was left to Andrew Hirst to score the winner in the final 10 minutes.
