Basingstoke and Mid Hants pair head to UK Champs

BASINGSTOKE and Mid Hants athletes Mark Berridge and Andy Blow will take part in the UK Indoor Championships this weekend.
The event, which will be held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, will double up as trials for the European Indoor Championships, which are due to take place in Gothenburg, Sweden, next month.
Old Basing sprinter Robert Tobin has decided not to run despite being invited by the organisers, but club-mates Blow and Berridge will make the trip to Sheffield.
Berridge will compete in the 800m, with the heats due to take place at 4.15pm today and the final being held at 3.35pm tomorrow.
Blow is down to take part in the 60m hurdles, which will take place today, with heats at 2.15pm and the final at 4.40pm.
