BASINGSTOKE Bison fans wanting to keep track on how Greg Owen and Great Britain are doing in their final Olympic qualifier in Riga, Latvia will be able to do so – by tuning into BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra.

There will be live commentary of all three games during the tournament, which take place on February 7, 8 and 10.

Seth Bennett and reporter Nick Hope will cover the tournament – providing news, features and interviews.

GB start their quest for a place in Sochi, Russia at the 2014 Olympics, with a game against hosts Latvia on Thursday, February 7 (starting 5:30pm GMT). The following day they face France (1:30pm) with the final game against Kazakhstan on Sunday February 10 (11am).

Great Britain captured Olympic gold in 1936 in Germany after winning a bronze medal at the 1924 Olympics in France, but their last appearance came back in 1948 in Switzerland, where they finished in fifth place.

Two more qualifier tournaments take place at the same time as the Brits are in action in Germany and Denmark.

Hosts Germany will hope to progress, but standing in their way are Austria, Italy and Netherlands. Denmark have to overcome Belarus, Slovenia and Ukraine.
