FIVE was the magic number forthe Basingstoke Bison on Sunday night.
As they beat the Telford Tigers 5-1 to stay five points clear at thr top of the English Premier League and also chalked up five wins on the trot.
The Herd never looked back after Greg Chambers opened the scoring in the third minute and by 6:06 Greg Owen and Doug Sheppard had made it 3-0.
Man-of-the-match Joe Greener then extended the lead further before the first buzzer.
Telford scored their lone goal of the night from Elliot Knell at 28:02, but Greener a minute later stopped any comeback and that is how it stayed to the final buzzer.
The Bison are next in action on Boxing Day looking to set a new club record for the EPL of 11 straight home wins. The action gets underway at 4pm.
