THE Basingstoke Bison extended their lead at the top of the English Premier League to three points and also clinched top spot in the EPL Cup group standings thanks to a 6-4 victory at the Sheffield Steeldogs on Sunday night.

The home side opened the scoring from Lubomir Korhon only for the Herd to hit back as Joe Miller and Joe Greener scored.

Miller netted his second, before Edgar Bebris closed the gap to one

The Bison thanks to Joe Rand and Greg Owen made it 5-2, only for Derek Campbell to score twice in the final minute of the second period to keep the game on a knife edge. 

The only goal of the last period was scored by Jaroslav Cesky taking his goal scoring streak to seven games as the Bison won 6-4.
