BASING Cycles has generously donated a new kit and tracksuit tops to Goldsworth Park Rangers Under-Eight Lions.

Bryan Avory of Basing Cycles said: “Goldsworth Park Rangers look like they could be a professional team in their new kit.

“We’re delighted to provide kits and sponsorship to the team. We encourage children to be healthy and active and our links with the community means that we can give something back to the area.”

Simon Barron, the team’s coach, said: “As Goldsworth Park Rangers enters our 30th season next year, we are all very proud of our club and the fact that we are able to provide local youngsters with the opportunity to play football.

“As a registered charity reliant on volunteers, it is thanks to sponsors like Basing Cycles, that we’re able to provide top quality training to young people and their families.”

He added: “The kit has already proved lucky with the boys winning 2-0 in their first game wearing it, and we hope to continue to do our sponsors proud.”

More than 200 boys and girls play for different teams within Goldsworth Park Rangers club. Youngsters aged from four to 16 train with the club every Saturday and play competitive matches on Sundays.
