THE Basingstoke Bison now head both the league and cup standings after a wel deserved 5-3 win over the visiting Sheffield Steeldogs.
Two goals each for Greg Chambers and Greg Owen along with a Joe Rand single secured the win as the visitors racked up 60 minutes in penalties collecting three 10 minute misconduct penalties.
The Steeldogs goals came from Ben Morgan, Pavel Gomeniuk and Lloyd Gibson, two of them in the last five minutes when the game had already been lost.
