Aldridge nets hat-trick as Tadley win in the Hampshire A Cup

First published in Sport by

STEPHEN Aldridge grabbed a hat-trick as Tadley Calleva A beat visiting Isle of Wight outfit Northwood St John Reserves 5-3 to reach the third round of the Hampshire A Cup.

Aldridge was the provider for Ben Todd to open the scoring in the second minute.

The visitors equalised Northwood, but on 25 minutes a long clearance from goalkeeper Dave Hicks was converted by Aldridge.

Just after the hour, Aldridge got his second from a Matt Buckle assist and then Gary Harper was the provider for the Tadley man's hat-trick.

It became 5-1 when Todd converted from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box, before the visitors scored twice late on.
