CONGRATULATIONS to Oakridge Methodist Church on their 40th anniversary in bringing God to the local community and being in the same building all this time.
On Saturday, October 11, from 4pm to 6pm, there is a party at the church for all local inter-denominational church-goers, former ministers, circuit churches and anyone who has helped or supported them in any way.
There will be celebratory entertainment, games for the children and a chance to look around the building and see the changes which have been made.
On Sunday, October 12, there will be a Service of Thanksgiving for the past 40 years and for the harvest.
The service, which starts at 11am, will be conducted by the resident ministers The Reverend Jacqui Horton and The Rev Alison Parker.
