Radlett's U15s defeated Chorleywood 109-3 to 108 all out in a Herts League clash on Thursday evening.

Having lost the toss, Radlett were asked to field first. Although the Cobden Hill youngsters produced some superb bowling, opponents Chorleywood managed to reach 80 after 13 overs for the loss of only two wickets.

However, Radlett struck back through Mark Gray. His haul of three wickets in four overs, and some excellent fielding from his team mates, enabled Radlett to remove Chorleywood for 108.

After a heavy downpour, Radlett took up residence at the crease. Openers Niall Leung and Kunal Amin put on a partnership of 45 runs from six overs, before Leung was bowled by a brilliant in-seaming ball.

The next 55 runs were scored in nine overs, before Amin was caught out on 44. Rory Young, who reached 20no, propelled Radlett to their winning total with a fine spell in the 17th over.

An improved batting performance, and a fast outfield, helped the U15s post their highest total of the season so far, 137-4 off 20 overs against Kings Langley recently.

One of the highlights was dynamic all-rounder Niall Leung's 66no, which featured 16 off his final over.

However, a lack of penetrative bowling and far too many fielding errors on Radlett's part, resulted in Kings Langley reaching 141-3.

Radlett's U13s just managed to contain Chorleywood in an action-packed Herts League game on Friday night.

After tight bowling had restricted Chorleywood to 89-4 off 20 overs, Radlett could only manage 85-8 in reply.
