MILITARY personnel past and present will be given free transport to remembrance services this weekend.
Stagecoach South will offer free travel to veterans and military personnel. To be eligible for free travel, veterans wearing their medals or veteran badges and military personnel will have to show their military ID badges.
As well as offering free travel, the bus firm will be placing a poppy on 250 buses across Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey.
Edward Hodgson, managing director of Stagecoach South, said: “Once again, we are proud to be supporting Remembrance Sunday in this way by of offering free travel for military personnel and veterans and showing our support through poppies on our vehicles.
“Through our support we hope we can send a clear message to our Armed Forces communities in Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey that we appreciate and recognise the commitment they have made to our country over the years.”
Stagecoach Group signed the Ministry of Defence’s Armed Forces Corporate Covenant in support of the Armed Forces Community in 2017.
