SOME train services running through Basingstoke this morning have been cancelled because of signalling problems at the station.

The fault is causing delays of up to 45 minutes.

South West Trains confirmed that the signalling problem has now been fixed, and all lines are open, but disruption for travellers is expected to continue until around 11am.

Some services passing through Basingstoke may still be cancelled or revised at short notice whilst South West Trains work to restore the train service to normal.

CrossCountry will accept South West Trains ticket holders for travel between Basingstoke and Bournemouth.

Customers with car park tickets and season tickets for travel from Hook, Winchfield, Fleet and Farnborough can park at Aldershot, and use train services from there.
