Railway disruption after electrical problem
RAILWAY users are facing delays to their journey after electrical problem on a line in Hampshire.
The supply of electricity is affecting all services between Basingstoke railway station and Southampton Central, with passengers having their travel time delayed by up to 20 minutes.
South West Trains believes the problem is expected to last until at least 3pm.
A statement on the train services website said: “An electricity supply problem between Eastleigh and Southampton Central is causing delays of up to 20 minutes to trains between Basingstoke and Southampton Central.”
Routes from London Waterloo passing through Basingstoke are all delayed due to the electrical fault.
