A HAMPSHIRE-BASED aviation firm has been honoured at the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 awards.

CTC Aviation Group, which has four sites in the UK, including state-of-the art airline training centres at Dibden and Nursling, was ranked at number 32.

The awards go to Britain's private companies with the fastest-growing overseas sales and a league table is published in The Sunday Times.

The ceremony, held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in central London, took place on Wednesday, September 19. Group chief executive officer, Rob Clarke, who received a certificate on behalf of the organisation, said: “CTC is in the midst of some very exciting developments at the present time. In June of this year we completed a management buyout with private equity firm Inflexion which marks a new era for us. “We are very proud to be in the top 200 and it is just recognition for our team who work so hard to help CTC retain its reputation as a world leader.”

CTC, which trains around 2,000 aircrew for more than 50 global airlines each year, saw international revenue grow 82 per cent a year from £812,000 in 2009 to £2.7m in 2011.
