A COUPLE from Winchester have begun married life by taking on a huge challenge.
Rob and Hannah Plunton are the new landlords at the Ship Inn on Wales Street following a major refurbishment.
The couple previously ran The Five Bells in Stockbridge but wanted to return to Winchester where they both grew up.
Rob, 24, said: “We're from Winchester and used to drink in The Ship. What better way to start married life than by putting a new lease of life into a pub that we used to love.
“We'll be placing a greater emphasis on food and hope that our new village reduced menu will appeal to people”.
In August the Hampshire Chronicle reported that Rob and Hannah had married at St Peter's Catholic Church in Winchester with the X-Factor's Yousseph “Chico” Slimani as best man.
