The Bakers Arms in Winchester
A UNIQUE Winchester husband and wife team are starting to celebrate the milestone of running their pub for some 40 years.
Mike and Lynne Sinker have run the Bakers Arms for 39 years and will hit the 40-year anniversary next July.
To start the celebrations they are holding a ‘Bakers Bonanza’ weekend at the pub off the High Street, starting tomorrow. (Friday Sep 28)
There will be a cheesey disco with live music from Jacks, from 8pm. On Saturday from 8pm The Bakers Band will perform rock and blues and on Sunday from 3pm the Lost Cause Cowboys will play.
Lynne said: “I don’t think anyone is ever going to get close to 40 years.”
Old staff and regulars are welcome to help them celebrate. A charity collection will be made for Macmillan Cancer Support.
