New role for boss of collapsed Winchester sports shop

THE boss of a Winchester business which closed earlier this year due to financial problems has joined a similar shop in the city.
Jim Liddiard, who ran sports shop H2O Mud n’ Snow in the Brooks Centre, is now working at skateboard shop Curb in Stockbridge Road.
H2O Mud n’ Snow was liquidated in May after racking up debts of around £97,000, according to administrators Atherton Bailey.
Mr Liddiard declined to comment about either business but said he was only an employee at Curb, working in the shop. He said: “H20 is dead now so there is no point talking about it.”
Jim Pretty, of Atherton Bailey Eastleigh, said H2O’s debts would not be recovered by its creditors.
He said: “It is extremely unlikely creditors will ever see that money again now the business has been liquidated.”
Mr Pretty added there is nothing to stop anyone joining or setting up a new business after the financial failure of a previous company.
