Winchester man jailed for exposing himself in living room window

A Winchester pensioner who exposed himself in the window of his front room has been jailed for two months.

Cyril Sparkes, 71, of Groves Close, South Wonston, admitted three charges of standing naked in his living room, defying a restraining order.

The offences, on May 19, July 6 and July 17, breached the order passed at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on August 26 2010, Winchester magistrates heard on Friday.

Magistrates said the offences were so serious with the deliberate parading in his window posing a risk to passing children.
They said he had failed to respond to a community penalty

OK, nobody wants to see a 71 year old man parading about naked. But what exactly is the risk to the public? Or are there many details omitted from this news story?

If you read the story I think the main issue for the magistrates is the two-fingers to the courts because he persistently breached the restraining order.
