PRAYERS were held at Winchester Cathedral following the terror attack in Manchester.
The Dean of Winchester Catherine Ogle called for people to draw a spirit of solidarity and for communities to come together "united in peace".
More than 60 people attended the prayers, which were held in the nave.
The very rev Catherine Ogle said: "We gather together in shock and grief in response to the atrocity last night carried out in an evening meant for youth and joy which became terror.
"We pray for the emergency services, the people who came out to help, the taxi drivers the volunteers and all those who work in our hospitals.
"We pray for the people of Manchester we pray that love is stronger than hate and life is stronger than death and we choose love and life over death."
"We pray for the city of Manchester, its leaders and its communities, that they may come together united for peace."
