A CYCLIST was left in hospital after being injured in a hit-and-run crash on a Hampshire road.
The 37-year-old woman was riding near Winchester when she was struck by a silver car which was travelling in the same direction.
After the incident, which happened on the B3034 Alresford Road between 7.20am and 7.38am on Tuesday, January 17, the driver left the scene without stopping.
The cyclist suffered a broken bone in her shoulder and fell to the ground near the Holiday Inn.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "We have started an investigation and would like to hear from anyone who has any information about what happened.
"Were you in this area at this time? Did you see a silver-coloured vehicle on Alresford Road?
"We want to identify this vehicle."
