A HAMPSHIRE home care provider has launched an innovative app which allows its customers, family members and friends to read a live feed update of a loved one’s care notes anywhere in the world on their mobile phone.

The ‘Bluebird openPASS’, lists all notes from a customer’s care visit, highlighting what tasks were completed, when they were carried out and the overall health and wellbeing of a customer.

The app is also available to GPs and hospital staff.

This new software replaces the need for handwritten notes which need to be made at each care visit, and would only be reviewed each month as opposed to each day.

Norman Murphy, owner and managing director of Bluebird Care, said: “We are proud to be leading the way in the social care industry and utilising this fantastic technology that will make our customers’ and their relatives’ lives easier.

“Bluebird openPASS is a brilliant app which enhances care connectivity and communication by giving access to real time care records on your mobile phone. It also allows you to keep an eye on a friend or relative anywhere, anytime, for example if you live elsewhere in the UK or even abroad.

“Our customers’ whole care visits are recorded electronically so you can see what your loved one has had for breakfast, taken their medication and how their general wellbeing is by lunchtime.

The multi-award winning Bluebird Care group of offices, owned by Norman and Claire Murphy, are the first and only “Overall Outstanding” CQC rated home care service in Hampshire. Bluebird provides home care to the people of Winchester, Eastleigh, Hedge End, Alton, Alresford, Andover, Stockbridge and Romsey.
