A YOUNG man is fighting for his life after a car crash in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called after a blue Renault Clio left the carriageway and collided into trees along Bighton Road, Alresford at around 12.30am.

The car was carrying three men who were all taken to Southampton General Hospital.

A 23-year-old passenger suffered serious head injuries and his condition is described as life-threatening.

A 24-year-old passenger suffered a back injury and is said to be in a serious condition while the 23-year-old driver suffered minor injuries.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the car shortly before the incident or who were in the area at the time to come forward.
