A RAPIST who was jailed after abusing an underage girl in Hampshire is being extradited to the UK.

Amateur ice skater Joseph Tsang, 31, was found guilty in his absence of a string of sex offences in the county after a six-day trial at Oxford Crown Court earlier this year.

Shortly after he was convicted of two counts of raping the girl in a Hampshire hotel, as well as two counts of sexual assault, he fled the country.

But now he has agreed to return to Britain on an extradition request, it has been reported.

He appeared at a magistrates court in the country and his counsel Oliver Davies was reported to have said: "Within three months he will be returned."

In August he was sentenced to 15 years in prison and the victim of the Hampshire offences said: "I cannot understand how a person can do that to another person and feel nothing.

"This has had a huge impact on my life for which I am still receiving counselling and I don't know if I will totally recover."
