TWO Winchester men have been banned from the road after being caught drink driving on the same day.
Cain Price, 46, and Cesare D’Andrea, 27, were both stopped by police in the city on April 11.
Price, of Court Road, Kings Worthy, was stopped in Upper Brook Street in a 53-reg Volvo.
When breathalysed his alcohol reading was 69 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35.
Price admitted drink driving and also failing to stop after an accident.
Magistrates disqualified him for 18 months, fined him £1,105 for drink driving and £675 for failing to stop.
He was also told to pay a £102 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
D’Andrea, 27, of Devenish Road, Weeke, was stopped by officers in a Smart Car on Easton Lane, Winnall, Basingstoke Magistrates Court was told.
He admitted the charge of driving with excess alcohol.
The court heard he had 50 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35.
D’Andrea was banned from the road for 14 months, fined £200, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
