A WINCHESTER care home has raised nearly £1,400 for charity Parkinson’s UK.
Residents and staff at Abbotts Barton care home, in Worthy Road, nominated the charity as its good cause to support over the past year.
They have raised £1,391.30 through events such as coffee mornings and homemade greetings cards sales.
On a visit to the home charity representative Myra Clare thanked residents.
Abbotts Barton activities organiser Janet Orchard said: “Myra said the need was simply to provide everyday assistance for people in the area who live with Parkinson’s. We were delighted to help.”
