WINCHESTER homeless charity Trinity has been handed a £300 donation from a national community fund.
Galaxy Hot Chocolate gave the sum to the group to help raise awareness and improve facilities for homeless people across the city.
Tim Corke, fundraising manager, said: “As the nights get longer and colder, the value of a hot meal cannot be underestimated for both the physical and mental wellbeing of those we work with. This donation from the Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund means that we can now provide more hot meals, warm drinks and other practical support over the winter period.”
Michelle Frost, spokeswoman for Galaxy Hot Chocolate, added: “We know that across the UK and Ireland smaller charities and groups struggle to make ends meet despite the efforts of a huge number of warm hearted volunteers.
“The Galaxy Hot Chocolate Fund aims to give them a helping hand and hopefully inspire more people to get involved with local community groups.”
