A BISHOP’S Waltham trader has raised hundreds of pounds for cancer treatment in a raffle for a giant tin soldier.

Emma Bondsfield, of the Luvvit Want It boutique, raised more than £300 at the town’s Christmas fayre last Thursday.

Her niece, Libby Godber, suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The family have raised over £20,000 for charities which have helped her during treatment through sales, raffles, bike rides and other fundraising drives.

Proceeds from raffling the life-sized soldier will go to the Northbrook Ward at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, where Libby has received most of her chemotherapy.

Tickets are still available for the raffle, which closes on Christmas Eve.
