AN annual Winchester tradition that had been dropped has been revived but in a smaller form.
The bus running day on January 1 attracted thousands of people every year to ride on vintage and veteran buses around Winchester.
The Friends of King Alfred Buses (FoKAB) had announced that the 2014 event would be the last, to be replaced by other events in the summer.
But now the charity has announced a smaller version will be staged on New Year’s Day 2015.
Whilst the main Running Days have now moved to the early May Bank Holiday weekend on May 3-4, a much smaller operation will still take place on January 1.
The day celebrates the services operated by King Alfred Buses that operated until 1973.
The following journeys will run: Service 3 1200 Broadway – Stanmore 1213 Stanmore – Broadway
