THE fairground returned to Broad Street in Alresford for one of Hampshire’s quirkiest fun fairs.

The fair has been held in the wide road in the centre of the town for hundreds of years by Royal Charter.

For seven hours every years the waltzers and other rides fill the street only inches from houses until 9.30pm when they are packed away for another 12 months.

The rides are usually gone by midnight.
