HALLOWEEN and history will come to life this half term at two Winchester museums.
Angles, Saxons and Jutes are setting up camp in the City Museum ready for a re-enactment of Winchester’s Dark Age history from local group Weorod.
They will be dressed in sixth and seventh century costume, and visitors will be able to handle replica objects.
It runs from 10am-4.30pm on October 31 and 10am-3.30pm on November 1.
Meanwhile at the Westgate Museum there will be a Halloween Horrors Spotter Quiz – a challenge to find bats hidden around the chamber.
It runs from October 25-31, and on Halloween from 1pm-5pm children and their parents are invited to make flapping bats to take home.
